We’；d like to welcome Monicacheap throw pillow covers， the creative DIYer behind the blog East Coast Creative.？ Monica admits that her powder room was hideous and in desperate need of a makeover.？ She also said that its odd shape was another reason she procrastinated its makeover.？ Here’；s what her powder room looked like before its refresh.
Rather than give the powder room a complete makeover， Monica opted to give it more of a perk up.？ Her perk up included subtle decor changes.？ First up， she decided to keep the pear paint color but add a stenciled accent wall.？ Monica painted our Birch Forest Allover stencil， one of our most popular nature-inspired patterns， in a soft white.？ She used blue painter’；s tape to help hold the stencil in place and then painted the tree pattern using a dense foam roller.？ Here is Monica’；s perked up powder room!
AH-mazing!？ Once the Birch Forest pattern was painted on the wall， Monica crated a mirror using a piece of wood from an old wagon side.？ Do you love this rustic look？？ Check out this wood-framed mirror tutorial here.
For wall decor， Monica recycled some old frames and inexpensive Ikea prints.？ We love how these earthy prints look against this pretty patterned accent wall!
Tell us， where would you use the Birch Forest Allover pattern？ Leave us a comment below， we’；d love to read your thoughts!

Tackling a major paint job may seem like the easiest, most affordable way to change the look and feel of a room (or an entire home), but interior house painting has its own costs and requires its own sort of planning, especially if it's going to be a DIY project. Home painting veterans may already have all the necessary tools on any good painting supplies list, but everyone from first-time painters to almost-pros will need to double-check a few things before they get started.
