Finding the right stools for your kitchen is challenging because there are so many factors to consider， including height， style and comfort. Below is our quick guide to helping you find the best stools for your kitchen counter， island， breakfast bar or even your in-home pub.customized gifts for her
Chair (above)sofa pillow covers， bar or counter height？ To determine which stool you need， measure the height of your table or counter. Keep in mind you need 9″；-13″； between the seat and the counter for seating comfort.
It’；s important to provide enough space between stools for people to eat， drink and socialize without bumping elbows. Here are the rules of thumb we use：
Do you want to make a design statement or do you want more discreet seating？ Do you want to match or layer materials in your kitchen？ And do the stools you really want work in the space you have？ Your answers can help you determine the style and height of stool that will ultimately work in your kitchen.
If your stools are in a busy or narrow corridor or you don’；t want a tall profile that overwhelms your island， choose backless seating that can easily tuck under and away. But if you love to entertain and want something more lounge-worthy， choose a broad-backed stool with deep seating.
If you’；ll use your stools where food is served， consider a low-maintenance material， such as leather， wood or metal. If you choose upholstered stools， choose a microfiber that easily wipes clean. Or， choose cushions that you can swap out.
Whether the style of your kitchen is traditional， rustic or contemporary， you can find a stool that complements your look. There’；s no need to be too matchy-matchy. If， for example， your dining room is adjacent to your kitchen， it’；s not necessary to match the style of seating. And if you already have a lot of wood， try mixing it up with metal stools. Keep an open mind， and you’；ll find just the right look for your kitchen.

You guys are as sweet as can be.? Thanks for all the comments and love for my little babies in their costumes. I wish you guys could have been sitting down in my sewing room to see my excitement when the seams came together and the magic happened.? I’m not kidding, these little things still surprise me when they turn out.? I guess that’s why I get so excited when I see pictures of what you’re making or hear how surprised you are with your own projects and that you never thought you’d be able to make something so “complicated”.? I get it.? And I LOVE it.? So, keep ’em coming! :)
The first few months of being home with a new baby are the best. Not only do you get to spend all day snuggling and getting to know your precious little kiddo, but family and friends drop by with gifts and meals and enjoy their own baby snuggles.
We got home this week from a 3 week-long road trip (I think I may have mentioned that already, I feel like I’m starting to sound like a broken record *wink*). Now that we are home, summer has finally settled in at our house. ?Along with it has come lazy days, hot humid air, peanut butter sandwiches for lunch, and an overall feeling of laziness. If it would ever stop raining that feeling would be amplified by the smell of sunscreen and chlorine. ?Our recent rainy weather has given us an “extra” excuse to lay around the house all day (like we need more than one excuse? to do that*wink*)… ?I’m not saying that like it’s a bad thing. A little down time every once in a while is good for the soul.
